Prolepsis Research Network is delighted to present the new seminar series NeoClassica. Texts and Perspectives from the Early Modern Classical Tradition.

This series organized by Nicoletta Bruno and Olivia Montepaone explores the reception and adaptation of Classical texts and themes during the early modern era (15th-18th centuries). It provides scholars with an interactive platform for exchanging ideas and insights, focusing on works written in Classical languages or modern languages that engage with Classical themes. The seminar wishes to hightlight both widely studied and lesser-known sources. By combining historical perspetives with linguistic analysis, NeoClassica aims to foster a deep and nuanced understanding of literary and scholarly works influenced by Classical antiquity.

Monthly sessions, running from November to June, will feature panels of 3-4 speakers, each dedicated to a specific topic.
